Golf Tips - Rough -
Under the current weather conditions, you’ve hit a really good tee shot, but it’s managed to roll into the rough. The lie doesn’t look to bad, but how can I be sure. On this hole, I normally make birdie, however this tee shot has left me in a challenging position. Today, I’ll settle for par and run to the next hole.
But how do I keep momentum of this round going? How is this shot different than the one from the fairway on the last hole?
Try These Golf Tips
- Assess the rough – into you? or laying down ? or maybe it’s a bit clumpy
- Club selection - do you need to take a more lofted club ?
- Ball position – place the ball a little further back in your stance
- Body weight – a little more forward to neutral depending on yardage
- Club grip – slightly firmer grip, the clubface will move at impact in the rough
- Practice swings – determine the above, now take a few similar practice swings
